On the islands (since 2020)
The famous horse-drawn phaetons were banned in 2020 due to animal welfare. They've been replaced by IBB-operated electric minibuses (e-minibüs) and e-bicycles. Cars are still prohibited — the islands are pedestrian + electric only.
