Attraction guide
Beylerbeyi Palace about what you should know.
Beylerbeyi Palace was commissioned by Sultan Abdülaziz in 1865 as a summer residence and a palace for state guests. The architect was Sarkis Balyan — also the architect of Dolmabahçe.
Built directly on the Bosphorus shore at the foot of the Bosphorus Bridge, the palace has 24 rooms, 6 halls, a lighthouse and gardens that can all be visited.
It draws far fewer visitors than Dolmabahçe — a quieter alternative just as rich in content. On the Asian side, it pairs naturally with Üsküdar and Çamlıca on a day tour.
