Attraction guide
Pierre Loti Hill about what you should know.
Pierre Loti Hill takes its name from the 19th-century French novelist Pierre Loti, who fell in love with Istanbul during his stays here. A large part of his work on the city was written at the café on this hill.
The hill offers one of the widest views of the Golden Horn — mornings and sunset are ideal for photography. The summit holds the historic café, restaurants and panoramic terraces.
Two ways to reach the top: the cable car next to Eyüp Sultan Mosque (2 minutes) or a 20-minute walk through the cemetery. Typically combined with a visit to Eyüp Sultan.
