How it works
Driver hands you a stack of small bills; 1-2 are counterfeit or torn (banks won't accept).
Where it happens
Cash transactions, late at night.
Red flags
- Bills feel different (rough/smooth wrong)
- Tears or tape on notes
- Faded portraits
What to do — during
Inspect change under cabin light before driver leaves. Reject torn notes. Carry small bills (10/20/50/100) to minimize change.

Hard to dispute after driver leaves. Always inspect before exiting.
